Elsa had no trouble minding the counter on her own and Amalthea would sit outside, making bouquets and arrangements, or wreathes for people to hang on their doors. That was what she was working on now, a grape-vine frame in her lap while she added flowers and greenery to make something bright and seasonal. She had some lilac blooms next to her and now and then she plucked off a little flower... and ate it.
She'd almost only ever eaten flowers in her forest, and she missed the taste. Biffy had shown her how to cultivate some for tea, and she had sachets of her own blend: lilac, green tea, honeysuckle. She loved it dearly and drank it often.
The sunlight caught in her hair and she felt cozy on her bench, especially when a breeze came by and ruffled the buckets of flowers all around her.
